We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. This policy explains how to submit a copyright infringement notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and how we handle claims.
1) Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)
If you believe that content on our website infringes your copyright, please email us at [email protected] with a DMCA notice that includes the following:
-
Your contact information
Full name, address, phone number, and email. -
Identification of the copyrighted work
A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a link to the original work if available). -
Identification of the infringing content on our Site
The exact URL(s) or location of the material you believe is infringing, so we can find it quickly. -
Good-faith statement
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. -
Accuracy & authority statement (under penalty of perjury)
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf. -
Signature
Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable as an electronic signature).
2) What Happens After We Receive a DMCA Notice
After we receive a complete notice:
-
We will review the claim.
-
We may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.
-
We may notify the party responsible for the content (if applicable).
If your notice is incomplete, we may request additional information before taking action.
3) Counter-Notification (If You Believe the Claim Is Wrong)
If you believe content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected] including:
-
Your name, address, phone number, and email
-
Identification of the content removed and where it appeared before removal
-
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed due to mistake or misidentification
-
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court in your location (or where we are located), and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party
-
Your physical or electronic signature
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action within the time period required by law.
4) Repeat Infringers
If we determine that a user is a repeat infringer, we may suspend or terminate access to the Site or services, at our discretion. People love testing boundaries. We love removing accounts.
